“Some Next-Level Insanity”: Elon Rips into Democrat Leadership in Epic Interview

Eccentric and brilliant Elon Musk sounded off on the Democratic Party yet again, this time during a long-form interview that he did with the Tesla Owners Silicon Valley club.

According to Fox Business, which reported on the interview that Elon did with the club, Elon took the opportunity to explain his problems with the Democratic Party, particularly its leadership, telling the club that the Democratic Party is controlled by unions, groups that he opposes, as shown by neither Tesla nor SpaceX being unionized.

Speaking on that control that unions exert over the Democratic Party, Elon reportedly said:

The general public is not aware of the degree to which unions control the Democratic Party. One does not need to speculate on this point.

Continuing, Fox Business reports that Elon showed that influence by calling out Biden for inviting the UAW to a White House EV summit but not Tesla, which has made the vast majority of electric vehicles in the United States, saying:

Last year, Biden held an EV summit where Tesla was explicitly not allowed to come, but the UAW was. So, Tesla has made two-thirds of all the electric vehicles in the United States.

“So, deliberately excluding us from an EV summit at the White House — but including UAW — tells you everything you need to know.

They have so much power over the White House that they can exclude Tesla from an EV summit — insane.

The UAW, or United Auto Workers, is a very large, and thus very powerful, left-leaning union that controls operations at many large automobile manufacturing plants, though not Telsa’s.

Fox Business also reports that Elon hit Biden’s praise of GM for its EV initiatives despite it doing so much less than Tesla in that field, saying:

Musk took issue with Biden praising GM CEO Mary Barra at the EV summit for leading the “EV revolution,” in a quarter where GM delivered just 26 electric vehicles. “That’s some next-level insanity,” Musk said.

This isn’t the first time that Musk has attacked the Democratic Party for being in the pocket of the unions. As Fox Business reported back in early May of this year, he did so during a hilarious talk in which he joked that the “real president” was the teleprompter.

After that joke, however, he got serious and said that the Democratic Party is “overly controlled by the unions and by the trial lawyers, particularly the class action lawyers”, something that he argued means that they act against “the interests of the people.”

Making that point about Biden, Musk said that he puts the unions ahead of the people and that “In the case of Biden, he is simply too much captured by the unions, which was not the case with Obama.

So Musk isn’t a fan of the Democrats because of how the unions exercise a heavy degree of control over that party and use their influence to press for policies that aren’t necessarily in the interest of the average American.
