Rep. Comer: I plan on going to war with some of these federal agencies

Rep. James Comer of Kentucky says that he plans on going to war with some federal agencies as a result of their bias and corruption

Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) discussed on Just the News, Not Noise the corruption of federal agencies like the FBI and how the American people are waking up to their corruption.

“The deep state is real,” Comer stated. “And what we have are these federal bureaucracies that are fighting back. They see the tide is turning. They see the American people are gonna go out in waves — hopefully, in a few months, and vote for a new majority in Congress.”

“I plan on going to war with some of these federal agencies,” he had said earlier.

One of the ways that Comer plans to hold some of these agencies accountable is looking over their budget, stating that they “can’t hide behind classified anymore.”

“One way that I plan on holding these agencies accountable, is their budget,” Comer said. “That’s their lifeline. That’s their manna from heaven — it’s the money that Congress allocates to them. In the past, I don’t think Congress has been very serious about providing oversight in asking for accountability and transparency from these agencies.”

“And I can tell you, if we have a Republican majority, we’re gonna go down their budget, line by line, and they can’t hide behind classified anymore,” Comer continued.

Comer was asked for his thoughts regarding the FBI director using taxpayer dollars to take a personal trip on a federal government jet. Comer explained that if the director used a federal jet for personal reasons, he had to reimburse the agency.

“He (the FBI director) said under oath in a congressional testimony last week that he was going on a family vacation, he had to cut the hearing short. There’s no record of him ever reimbursing the agency. These are the sorts of things that Congress is going to go down, and we’re already doing that.”
